"But I don't want to go among mad people," Alice remarked. "Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice. "You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."

Why I haven't posted lately

Talkin' to myself and feelin' old
Sometimes I'd like to quit
Nothing ever seems to fit
Hangin' around
Nothing to do but frown
Rainy Days and Mondays always get me down.

What I've got they used to call the blues
Nothin' is really wrong
Feelin' like I don't belong
Walkin' around
Some kind of lonely clown
Rainy Days and Mondays always get me down.

Funny but it seems I always wind up here with you
Nice to know somebody loves me
Funny but it seems that it's the only thing to do
Run and find the one who loves me.

What I feel has come and gone before
No need to talk it out
We know what it's all about
Hangin' around
Nothing to do but frown
Rainy Days and Mondays always get me down.

Yes, I am back at work. My first week back was terrible. My voice is still completely fucked up, which means if this song was playing I would not be able to sing along. And it's raining. Mixed with ice and snow.

I am so glad I have Grant. Otherwise I think I would be toast.

Sometimes it can feel like we're hanging on by just a thread.

But the important part of that sentence is the hanging on, not the thread.

Give thanks for your thread, and realise that soon your feet will hit solid ground again.

I love that song, it seems to sum up so much. I remember singing it as I walked home one night (it was probably cold, dark and raining at the time).

I'm also sure that Grant is glad he has you [hugs]

Ah, The Carpenters!

Giant hugs to you, my dear. Only a couple more months and you'll be free to spend weeks at a time on the boat with your wonderful hubby.
